How do I...

When you requested access to your first subscription you would have been asked to enter your email address. On completing that step, you would have been sent an activation email with a link to click. Clicking that activation link activates your account, confirms your email address and allows you to set your own password. If you do not receive that activation email, be sure to check your junk, clutter, spam and deleted items folders.

Your corporate administrator will share a link with you that will allow you to request access to a publication. Visiting the link will either give you immediate access to the publication or will require the corporate administrator to actively grant the request (in which case there may be a short delay). If you do not have the link, you will need to request it from your company's publications administrator. Once you have one subscription, you can request additional ones from your home-page by clicking on "Request access". If you want access to a book that your company is not subscribed to or one that is not available as a corporate subscription, you can click on "Purchase" to obtain a personal subscription.

Once you have logged in, you will see a set of panels on your home page, representing the various books available. Not all these books are available as corporate subscriptions. Books that you have an active subscription to can be viewed by clicking on the relevant "Access" button on the book-specific panels.

To change your user details or password, click on "Account" (top right). On the account details page, if you want to change your password, click on "Change password". You will be asked to enter your current password and a new password (twice). To change your other user details, simply type the new entries into the provided edit boxes. Finally, click on "Update" to store any changes made on this page.

If you want to read your subscribed content using one of the offline reader applications instead of using online web access, you will need to download / install and run the appropriate version for your platform: When you have installed the application and run it for the first time, you will need to enter your HSE Publications username and password to connect to the server and download your subscribed content. This download will happen automatically in the background.

You can reset your password here. Once you are on that page, please enter your email address and click on "Reset password". A reset email will be sent to you, containing further instructions. Watch for it in your inbox and spam/clutter/junk/deleted items folders.
